Invitations
Invitations and shared links
Invite the intended person and understand what an invitation does and does not share.
Applies to the current ConnectReal experience
Use invitations intentionally
An invitation provides an entry into the context named on its page. It should not reveal private conversations or grant broader account access.
Before sending a link
- 1Confirm the invitation is for the intended context.
- 2Send it through a channel you trust.
- 3Explain what the recipient will see and whether an account is required.
- 4Do not publish a private invitation in a public post.
If a link fails
- Open the complete link rather than copying only the code.
- Sign into the intended account.
- Ask the sender for a new invitation if it expired or was already used.
- Do not ask anyone to send credentials to prove the invitation works.
