Use invitations intentionally

An invitation provides an entry into the context named on its page. It should not reveal private conversations or grant broader account access.

Before sending a link

1. 1Confirm the invitation is for the intended context.
2. 2Send it through a channel you trust.
3. 3Explain what the recipient will see and whether an account is required.
4. 4Do not publish a private invitation in a public post.

If a link fails

• Open the complete link rather than copying only the code.
• Sign into the intended account.
• Ask the sender for a new invitation if it expired or was already used.
• Do not ask anyone to send credentials to prove the invitation works.
